

Born in Flushing, Queens, NY; on July 6, 1970 she was the daughter of Serge and Mary (Anastasia) Samsonoff of East Stroudsburg. Christine graduated from St. Agnes High School, Flushing, NY. She attended and graduated from Queens College, New York City, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Speech Therapy and Northern Arizona University, Flagstaff, AZ; where she earned her Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology. Christine was employed as a Speech Pathologist with the Bangor Area School District, Bangor; until the birth of her twin girls when she devoted herself to being a stay at home mom Christine also loved to travel and greatly enjoyed spending her time with her family.
Surviving in addition to her parents is her loving husband of 14 years Eric Fitje, twin daughters, Astrid and Sasha Fitje, all at home in East Stroudsburg, sister, Cynthia Norris and her husband Keith of North Easton Mass; father and mother in-law, Carl and Renee Fitje of Rossmoor, NJ; sister in-law Danielle Fehling-Washineski and her husband Walter of Wantagh, NY; and five nieces.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday February 18, 2013 at 10:30 A.M. in the St. Luke’s Roman Catholic Church, Main Street Stroudsburg, Fr. Thomas McLaughlin celebrant. Interment will follow in Stroudsburg Cemetery, Dreher Ave, Stroudsburg.
A public visitation will held on Sunday February 17, 2013 from 2:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at the Lanterman & Allen Funeral Home, Inc. 27 Washington Street, East Stroudsburg
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Compassionate Care Hospice at 237 East Brown Street, East Stroudsburg, PA 18301
