It is with sadness that I have just learned of Rabbi Franzel's passing and I extend my condolences to His wife and loved ones. He was an associate rabbi at Beth Sholom in Miami Beach and his family lived in Bay Harbor Florida in my apartment building where I baby sat for the wonderful family. I'm so sorry for the family's loss.

As members of Temple Beth Am, my family and I have many fond memories of Rabbi Franzel. He conducted the Bar and Bat Mitzvahs of Garrett and Lainie, and he also officiated at the funeral of my husband Robert. We shall always remember Rabbi Franzel's marvelous voice. So sorry to learn of his passing.
