Donald Fritz

Donald was born in East Stroudsburg, on March 24, 1947, a son to the late Edgar H. and Margaret F. Cramer Fritz

He served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, and following his discharge was a volunteer for the Army Reserves.

Donald was a former Police officer and State Constable for Tobyhanna Township and Monroe County for several years, and was last employed as a dock laborer for Consolidated Freighted Ways Co.

He was a member of the Moose Lodge 1336, East Stroudsburg, the American Legion Post 346 of East Stroudsburg, and the CLU Club also of East Stroudsburg.

Preceding him in death in addition to his parents are a brother Robert Fritz and a step-son in-law SPC Anthony Kaiser.

Surviving is his wife of 23 years the former Patricia Fetherman of Stroudsburg, PA; daughters, Rebecca (Fritz) Miller and her husband Michael of Tannersville, PA, Carrie A. Fritz of Mesa AZ; Step-daughter, Heather Kaiser and her fiancé Adam Ford of Waymart ,PA; step-son Brian Fetherman of Portland OR; sister, Gloria Gilbert of Osceola, FL; brothers, Terry Fritz of Dunmore, PA and Neil Fritz and his wife Ginger of Scot Run, PA, and several nieces and nephews also survive.

A gathering for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at the Lanterman & Allen Funeral Home, Inc. 27 Washington Street, East Stroudsburg, PA 18301 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Interment will take place at the convenience of the family in St. Paul’s United Church of Christ Cemetery, Swiftwater, PA.
