Genevieve Joan Snyder

Genevieve Joan Snyder, 76, of East Stroudsburg passed away Monday December 27, 2021 at Lehigh Valley- Pocono Hospital. She was the loving wife of the late William Snyder and where married for 45 years before his passing in 2006.

Born January 15, 1945 in East Stroudsburg she was a daughter of the late Raymond Sr. and Martha (Derrick) Butz.

She attended Pocono Mountain School and continued on to work in a blouse mill locally and then to a factory in Florida where she lived with her husband. Genevieve enjoyed playing cards and bingo on a Friday at the Moose Lodge.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter; Kimberly Smallacombe and her husband Steven of New York; brothers; Raymond Butz Jr. of Henryville, and Mark Butz of Florida; sisters: Norma Butz and Sharon Smiley of East Stroudsburg and Bernice Neyhard of Marshalls Creek; 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her sister Pat Evans and her son William (Billy) Snyder.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday May 14, 2022 at 1pm at the VFW, 20 Fawn Road East Stroudsburg PA 18301
