Gerald Salerno

Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on September 29, 1929, he was a son to the late Charles and Concetta Marinelli Salerno. Gerald graduated from Bayside High School Queens, New York class of 1946 and he furthered his education at Long Island University, Brooklyn, N.Y. earning a B.S. degree in Chemistry. Gerald was employed in the lab as a Chemist and Specifications Writer for Lederle Laboratories, of Rockland County, N.Y.

He was an active member of Our Lady of the Lake Parish Roman Catholic Church, Pocono Pines, and enjoyed building garages, and any kind of wood working.

Preceding him in death in addition to his parents was a sister Teresa Romano.

Gerald will be missed by his loving wife of 60 years, the former Teresa Daly at home, daughter Nancy Snel and her husband Gary of Pompton Plains, NJ: grandchildren Christopher, Dana and Lauren.

Upon his wishes, Geralds family has donated his body to the Humanity Gifts Registry, of Philadelphia. There will be no funeral or memorial services.
