
Born in Youngwood, PA on June 16, 1927 he was a son to the late Roy R. and Lily (Brown) Hart. He attended Youngwood High School and received an honoree diploma from Hempfield Area High School. Hank was a veteran of WW II where he proudly served his country in the United States Navy earning a World War II victory medal. He was currently employed in the maintenance department at Otter Lake Resort in Marshalls Creek, PA
He was a faithful member of East Stroudsburg United Methodist Church, loved music and enjoyed hiking and the outdoors. Henry was a very good Christian, loyal friend, with a great sense of humor and will be missed by his family and friends.
Preceding him in death in addition to his parents was his wife of 31 years Genevieve (Hienen) Hart who he cared for and took care of for years before her passing on October 30, 2011, also brothers: Harry, Roy F., William E., Maurice F., Curtis B., and Donald J., Hart.
Surviving is a daughter, Jacquelyn Ridinger of Harrisburg; sister, Lilyan (Sis) Kriss and her husband Joseph of Greensburg; and a brother Dr. Burton B. Hart of Spokane, WA; 2 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and numerous beloved nephews and nieces.
Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at noon in the Lanterman & Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 27 Washington Street, East Stroudsburg with his pastor Rev. Dr. Edward C. Kimes, Pastor of East Stroudsburg United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be at a later date in Greensburg, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the East Stroudsburg United Methodist Church, 85 South Courtland Street, East Stroudsburg, PA 18301.
