June Nicholson, 89, of East Stroudsburg passed away peacefully Tuesday May 9, 2017 at The Gracedale Nursing Home. Born June 1, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Barbara (Deere) Brewer, of Pontypridd, Wales.

June was a graduate of the Bronx Walton High School, Bronx NY. She worked at The NCCI Insurance Company for many years in the printing and mailing department. June was a social butterfly, she loved going out to the movies and dinner with friends. She enjoyed reading mystery novels and doing word search puzzles.

June was a faithful member of the East Stroudsburg United Methodist Church. Her kind and caring spirit will be sincerely missed by all who had the pleasure to know her.

June had been preceded in death by her brother Raymond George Brewer.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son: Robert J. Nicholson and his wife Mary, of East Stroudsburg; her granddaughters: Aura Beth Nicholson and her husband Justin Lindberg,and Lauren Nicholson all of East Stroudsburg ; and her Great-grandchildren: Molly and Rowen Brotz.

Friends and family are welcome to celebrate the life of June Nicholson at 10 am on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at The Lanterman & Allen Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 11am with Pastor James Todd officiating. Burial of the cremated remains will take place at The Prospect Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The East Stroudsburg United Methodist Church, 87 N. Courtland Street, East Stroudsburg, PA 18301.
