Margaret C. Stiff

She was born in East Stroudsburg on April 5, 1957, and was the daughter of the late Thomas and Bertha (Staples) Sexton. Peggy graduated from East Stroudsburg High School and East Stroudsburg State Teachers College, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in secondary education. She was employed in the banking industry as a teller.

Peggy was a member of St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Minisink Hills, and was a member of the ESU Community Concert Band, East Stroudsburg and the Trinity Centennial Band also of East Stroudsburg where she enjoyed playing the alto saxophone. She was also a lifelong member of the CLU Club and the American Legion both of East Stroudsburg. Peggy also enjoyed attending musical performances, crocheting, and loved spending time with her family.

Surviving is her husband of 30 years Wayne R. Stiff, of East Stroudsburg; daughter, Andrea Stiff, of East Stroudsburg; step-sons, Scott Stiff of Orlando, FL, Daniel Stiff and his wife Sue Hoffman, of Catasauqua; and; granddaughter, Macy Hoffman, and many cousins, and other extended family members.

A public visitation will be held on Sunday June 29, 2014 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Lanterman & Allen Funeral Home, Inc. 27 Washington Street, East Stroudsburg.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 30, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at the Lanterman & Allen Funeral Home, Inc. 27 Washington Street, East Stroudsburg with her pastor Rev. Glen T. Segond, pastor of St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Minisink Hills, officiating. Interment will follow in Stroudsburg Cemetery, Dreher Avenue, Stroudsburg.
