Marlene (Til) Mae Smith, 70, of East Stroudsburg passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her devoted and loving family, early Tuesday Morning April 30, 2013.
Born in East Stroudsburg on August 17, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Alton and Jennie Kunkle. Marlene was a graduate of East Stroudsburg High School. She worked for Hay Ban for 30 years until they closed and then she worked at Target, in Stroudsburg. Marlene enjoyed baking, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren. She also was a Yankees Fan and a lifelong resident of Monroe County.
She is survived by her husband Albert H. Smith, of East Stroudsburg; two sons: Mark Smith and Matthew Smith and his wife Michelle, of East Stroudsburg; a daughter: Marlisa Doleiden and her husband Todd, of East Stroudsburg; three grandchildren: Allyce Doleiden, Todd Doleiden Jr. and Nathan Smith; two brothers: Marshall Kunkle, of Florida, and Rodger Kunkle, of Florida; a sister: Alberta Tallada and her husband Spencer, of East Stroudsburg; and several nieces and nephews.
A gathering will be held at the Lanterman & Allen funeral home on May 3, 2013 from 9:30 a.m. to 9:45a.m. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. at Prospect Cemetery, in East Stroudsburg, officiated by Pastor Sharmune Burgess.
