Raised by his Grandmother, Mary Lyde, Ellsworth (Michael) was always a very intelligent kid, who always was involved in some type of hobby, being model airplanes or trains, or stamp collecting. He was also a good basketball player. After graduating from Benjamin Franklin High School, he joined the US Air Force, where he honorably served with the job offer fixing radar jamming devices on B52 Bombers during the Vietnam War.
Michael is survived by his partner of 32 years, Maureen; step-children, Gordon , Lance II, Shawna Darnell; grandchildren, Tyrell, Cortney, Shavon, Lance III, Indyah, Gordon II, Matthew, Alexander (AJ), Tania, London, Paul and Amaya; sisters, Joanne, Yvette, and Leslie; brothers, Robert, Rodney, and Rudy; cousins, Carla, Marvin, Kim, Venus, Gino, Diedrich, Denise; Aunt Margaret Collins, Molly, Shirley Reeves and family, and a host of friends and relatives.
Visitation will be held Saturday, July 2, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Lanterman and Allen Funeral Home, 27 Washington Street, East Stroudsburg, PA 18301.
