

Nick was born in Paterson, N.J. on November 14, 1927, a son to the late Nicolo and Amelia (Ranieri) Falone. He was raised in the Paterson area and joined the United States Army in 1945, serving in World War II, earning a World War II Victory Medal. Nick retired in 1993 from the United States Postal Service, working in Pompton Lakes, New Jersey.
He enjoyed the occasional trip to Atlantic City, N.J., reading, fishing, watching the New York Yankees, and the Giants. Nick cherished his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was well loved and his memory will be held in the hearts of his family for eternity.
Preceding him in death in addition to his parents, was his loving wife of 55 years, the former Anna Fico, who passed away on March 21, 2005, and two brothers Dominic and Gene Falone.
Surviving are two sons, Nick Falone and his wife Dee, of Mine Hill, N.J. and Louis Falone and his wife Sue, of Totowa, N.J.; one daughter, Carol Shamey and her husband Ken, of East Stroudsburg; one brother, Vince Falone of North Haledon, N.J.; five grandchildren, Louis John and Chelsea Falone, Christopher Falone, Alexis Shamey, and Justine and her husband Kerry Bauder, as well as two great-grandchildren, Ayedon Bauder and Kamryn Forde, and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday September 24, 2011 at 10:30A.M. at the Lanterman & Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 27 Washington Street, East Stroudsburg, with Rev. Augustine Lourduswami of St Matthew’s Roman Catholic Church, East Stroudsburg, officiating. Inurnment will follow in the columbarium at Prospect Cemetery, East Stroudsburg.
Family and Friends may gather at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of Service.
