

He was born on July 3, 1925 in Reduth Cornwall, England, the son to the late Richard and Winifred (Roberts) Tregellas.
He was a Commissioned as a Salvation Army officer after graduating from the London Training College in May 1948. Major Tregellas, and his wife Mary ( nee Ritchie) who were married on April 25, 1952, served as Corps officers in communities throughout England, Scotland, and Wales until emigrating to the United States in 1964, along with their two sons, Raymond Donald and Evan Tregellas. Major and Mrs. Tregellas served communities throughout the Midwest as Corps officers. Major Tregellas excelled in promoting the Salvation Army causes while serving in the Service Extension Department, and was instrumental in promoting the Adult Rehabilitation programs in Chicago, IL and St. Louis, MO. After retiring in 1990, Major and Mrs. Tregellas relocated to Pennsylvania in 1995.
Preceding him in death in addition to his parents was two sons and five brothers.
Surviving is his loving wife Mary Tregellas; son, Raymond Donald and his wife Judy; sister, Pauline Drake and her husband Patrick; granddaughters, Madalyne Maxwell and her husband Steve and Emma.
A celebration of life ceremony will be held at the East Stroudsburg Salvation Army Corps at 226 Washington Street, East Stroudsburg on Sunday October 14,2012 at 3:00 P.M. Major James Gingrich officiating. Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
