Richard E. Palmer, 81, of East Stroudsburg, passed away peacefully Saturday February 20, 2021 while in the loving care of the St. Luke’s Hospital-Monroe Campus. Born June 14, 1939 in Bartonsville he was a son of the late George V. and Josephine (Ace) Palmer. Richard was a proud union member of Local #1174 for 50+ years. Rich was a Nascar fan Mark Martin was his driver and then Dale Jr. He loved summer time and going to picnics, clambakes and clock drawings but he especially loved the meat wheel at the American Legion Post 346! Rich and his nephew Gary enjoyed these times together. He was a member of the American Legion Post 346, the CLU Club, the Moose Lodge 1336 and the boys at the Goal Line Sports Club. Rich will be truly missed by his family and friends. Those left to cherish his memory include: sister in law; Mildred Palmer and his nephew Gary W. Palmer of East Stroudsburg and several other nieces and nephews. He has been predeceased by; Dolly Smith, William Palmer, George Palmer and Kathryn Roskona. A private viewing will be held on Friday February 26, 2021 at the Lanterman & Allen Funeral Home Inc. 27 Washington St. East Stroudsburg with a burial to follow at the Sand Hill Cemetery.
