Tillie L Casale

Tillie Lorraine Casale, age 100, of East Stroudsburg, formerly of North Plainfield, NJ passed away peacefully on December 6, 2021 at the Pleasant Valley Manor, Stroudsburg, PA. She was the loving wife of Frank M. Casale, with whom she shared 57 years.

Born February 10, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Mary Anna (Pavlosky) and Joseph Kozlovsky, of Eynon, PA.

Tillie grew up on a farm in the state of Pennsylvania where she really did walk to school, up hill, both ways, in the snow. Following a move to New Jersey, she supported the war effort by working at a munitions factory. She married Frank M. Casale in 1952, and became a homemaker, having her life revolve around her three children. She had a wicked sense of humor, which her children inherited. She was a compassionate person who loved spending time with family and friends.

Tillie is predeceased by her parents; her husband, Frank M. Casale and her siblings, Gus Kozlovsky, Jean Kulpa, Frances Gnidziejko, and Joseph Kozlovsky. She is survived by her daughter, Karen Smith and husband Robert W.; her two sons, Frank Casale Jr. and wife Angela, and Brian Casale and wife Laura; her sister, Rose Mittan; her four grandchildren, Melissa, Stephanie and husband Frank, Leonardo and fiancée Marley, and Ariana and fiancée Derik; her two great-grandchildren, Haley and Gracie; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 12, 2021, at Lanterman and Allen Funeral Home, 27 Washington Street, East Stroudsburg, PA 18301, from 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. A memorial mass will be held on Monday, December 13th at Saint Matthews Church, 200 Brodhead Ave., East Stroudsburg, PA 18301, at 10:00 a.m. with a burial to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 225 Ridgedale Ave., East Hanover, NJ 07936.
