Wanda Y. Phillips

Wanda Y. Phillips 88 of East Stroudsburg passed away Friday morning at Pocono Medical Center. She was born at Worthington Hall in Shawnee on Delaware on April 26, 1927. She was the daughter of the late Margaret (Peg) and Lawton Clapper. She was preceded in death by her husband Francis X Phillips Jr, her son Robert J Phillips and her sister Colleen Mosteller. She is survived by her loving, long time companions William Roulette and Elliot, brother Ronald Clapper and wife Marlene, son Timothy M Bowman and wife Diane, son Terry W Bowman and wife Kitty, daughter Beverly P Waring and husband Malcolm, grandson Joshua L Bowman and many nieces and nephews.

As a registered nurse, she worked for Medical Associates of Monroe County as Dr. Eli Berman’s nurse for 38 years and they retired from the practice together in 2000.

She was a member of the Shawnee Presbyterian Church. Family and friends are invited to celebrate her life on Tuesday May 26, 2015. Visitation will be held from 5-6 pm with a service immediately following. Pastor Karl Viernstein will be officiating. Interment will be on Wednesday May 27, 2015 10:00 AM at the Shawnee Cemetery.
