Wayne R. Stiff

Born in Stroudsburg on December 17, 1943, he was a son of the late Horace A. and Jane C. (Cholerton) Stiff. Wayne graduated from Pocono Mountain Jointshor High School, Pocono Mountain, and served his country in the United States Army. Following his honorable discharge he returned home to Monroe County where he was employed in the construction and trucking industry for most of his working career. Wayne retired from Papillon & Moyer Excavating Company, of Stroudsburg in 2013.

Wayne was a lifelong member of the American Legion of East Stroudsburg, and the CLU Club also of East Stroudsburg.

Preceding him in death in addition to his parents was his wife Margaret C. Stiff, who passed away on June 25, 2014.

Surviving are his sons Scott Stiff of Orlando, FL, and Daniel Stiff and his wife Sue Hoffman of Catasauqua; and daughter Andrea Stiff of East Stroudsburg; brothers, Michael Stiff and his wife Donna of Cresco, and Gary Stiff and his wife Bobette also of Cresco; grandchildren, Macy Hoffman and Andrew Gehringer; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial services will be held in union with his wife Margaret’s funeral service at 2:00 P.M. on Monday June 30, 2014 at the Lanterman & Allen Funeral Home, Inc 27 Washington Street, East Stroudsburg, with Rev. Glen T. Segond, officiating. Private interment for Wayne will be held at the convenience of the family.
