Adell Lee Sweet

Adell Lee Sweet was born December 28, 1949 in Oxnard, CA. Her family then re-located to Pomona, CA, where she grew up, attended primary school, and then attended Ganesha High School. After graduating, she got married and had two daughters. Adell worked as a healthcare administrator most of her life until she then had her son. Adell went back to school to continue her education and became a paralegal and then spent the remainder of her career working for the State of California and the State of Oklahoma She loved being a mother so much that she raised three additional caring stepsons. Her life was dedicated to raising six children, loving and nurturing ten grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren.

Adell is survived by her loving husband of 27 years Robert William Sweet of Edmond, OK., daughters Leah Herd of Colorado Springs, CO., and Denise Diaz (Ernest Diaz) of Edmond, OK., and son Christopher Darr (Jillian Darr) Oklahoma City, OK., stepsons Frank Darr of Perris, CA., Mark Darr of Riverside, CA., and David Darr (Julie Darr) of Rancho Cucamonga, CA. Grandchildren Tanya Moran (Kyle Moran) of Piedmont, OK., Andrew Diaz of Orlando, FL., Jesse Williams (Allyson Williams) Oklahoma City, OK., Jacob Urbina Colorado Springs, CO., Damien Darr of Fullerton, CA., Dustin Darr stationed in Whidbey Island, WA., Dylan Diaz Stilwater, OK., Mark Tubig, Matthew Tubig, and Michael Tubig of Rancho Cucamonga, CA., and four great grandchildren.

She is also survived by her brother Stuart Michael Posey (Debra Posey) of Jurupa, CA., and sister Mary Arnold (Bill Arnold) of Pueblo West, CO. as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Jay Jeanette Posey and Jesse W. Posey.

Funeral celebration services will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at 1 p.m. at the Baggerley Funeral Home, 930 S. Broadway, Edmond, OK 73034. Burial will be held on Thursday, September 1 at 12 p.m. at Lone Mountain Cemetery in Carson City, NV.
