Her family ran Caesar Florist, and her love of flowers stemmed from her early exposure to their beauty. On December 10, 1954, she married Harold Crosley. They were blessed with three children. She spent most of her life in Oklahoma City, except for four years on the island of American Samoa, where she taught at Fia Iloa, an elementary school. She is an alumnus of Central High, UCO, and OCU.
Aileen was known for her sparkling personality, her devotion to her family, and her advanced skills as a teacher. She was an avid bird watcher, a master gardener and a skilled seamstress. She also wrote the most wonderful letters to her family and friends. Aileen enjoyed entertaining and maintained life-long friendships both near and far.
Her artistic skills were evident in her home and her visually engaging classrooms. She worked for Casady School for two years, and the Oklahoma City Public Schools for more than 20 years. After her children were grown, she taught night school to help adults improve their reading skills. She never stopped teaching or learning. After retirement, she enjoyed traveling with her husband. One of their favorite spots was a fishing resort in Minnesota, and they also enjoyed fishing vacations in Texas, where they would meet friends from Samoa.
She is survived by her husband, Harold Crosley Sr., daughter Deborah Holland and husband Michael, daughter Jeannie Fox and husband, Ray, children Ray Andrew and Laura; and her son, Harold Crosley.
Her parents and her grandson, Nicholas Holland, precede her in death.
