

Alma M. Knol, of Oklahoma City, went to be with the Lord on May 10, 2012. Alma was born on July 25, 1928, to Elmo and Lois Petitt. She lived much of her life in the Britton area and graduated from Britton High School. Alma married George Allen Knol in 1948 and often bragged of their 64 years together. Alma loved children and spent many years caring for them in her home. She is survived by her husband George, son Allen Knol and wife Marilyn of Edmond; daughter Janelle Roberts and husband Rick of Yukon, and daughter Peggy Wallace of Ada; grandchildren Mindy Cox and husband Jeff of Indiana, Emily Kopetsky and husband Brett of Illinois, Aaron Wallace of Ada, and Ben Knol and wife Kari of Missouri; two great-grandchildren, Caleb and Madeline; one sister, Betty Griffin of Mustang, and two brothers, Tom Pettit of Colorado and Bill Pettit of Red Oak. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed by her large family, friends and neighbors, and the many children she cared for. The family would like to thank the many wonderful nurses and caregivers that Alma grew to love. Graveside services will be 10:00 am, Monday, May 14th at Britton Cemetery.
