Arthur Dean Sudik

Dean Sudik passed away peacefully at his Edmond home on September 1, 2026. He was born in OKC, on March 24, 1934, to Dail and Joseph (Jack) Sudik. After High School, he joined the Army and was stationed in Alaska.

His first civilian job was with AT&T. While working full-time, and caring for an acreage, he completed a BA degree at CSU.

In 1961, he married Mary Ann Myers, whom he had known since preschool. They spent their entire lives together and had many great adventures. He always supported and encouraged her love for animals and riding Dressage. Dean was a wonderful father and described by his daughter as “the best gift of her life”. His wonderful sense of humor made sharing many interests and hobbies even more enjoyable.

Per Dean’s wishes, a private service will be held.

Dean is survived by his loving daughter, Pamela DeWees and his sister, Jolene Nipper and family.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann and his parents Dail and Jack Sudik and brother Lanny.
