Barbara Rose Graham of Edmond, Oklahoma, went to be with our Lord and Savior on January 6, 2019 in her daughter’s home. She was 75 years old.

She was born on March 23, 1943 and was raised by her parents Ivan and Nora Rood, with her sister Margie. They lived in Canby, Minnesota.

Barbara was married to Stan Larson on August 17, 1963. They had three daughters; Stephanie, Stacie and Sheryl and were married for 23 years. After a couple of transfers with Wilson Foods they settled in Edmond, Oklahoma in January of 1973, where she lived for 46 beautiful years.

Barb stayed at home with their 3 daughters until the youngest went to school. They attended the Presbyterian Church where she enjoyed teaching Sunday school and singing in the choir. In 1975 she went to work for Edmond Discount Foods. She was the head cashier in the office. She helped to run the store and the cashiers like a “well-oiled machine”. Everyone loved her and considered her their second mother…even the stockers. She always had a TAB in her hand and an open invitation for everyone to come swimming anytime at their home! In September of 1984, she went to work for American Bank & Trust, presently known as Kirkpatrick Bank, where she was a commercial teller until she retired at the end of March 2009. She worked there for 25 years, with a brief hiatus to help and travel with her husband, Dallas Graham, in his consulting business.

Barb and Dallas loved going to their lake home in Eufaula, Oklahoma. She would spend hours fishing for crappie and absolutely adored having her children and grandchildren there to play on the beaches…and of course teaching them to fish!! When she retired, she spent many hours in her yard riding around on her riding lawn mower and keeping up her beautiful swimming pool. She also found so much joy in taking care of her flowers, nurturing them all spring, summer and fall. Mom truly enjoyed sitting in her open garage, which she lovingly referred to as her “Parlor”! She would watch for folks driving or walking by and always give out a big wave and hollering “Hello” as they went by. Barbara loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren with all her heart.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, sister and husbands.

Barbara is lovingly remembered by her family, who loved her so very much! Her daughter Stephanie and husband Tom O’Keefe and their four children Heather, Ryan, Jennifer and husband Jarrod Paulter, and Joshua; her daughter Stacie and husband Doug Peterson and their two daughters Kourtney and Morgan and husband Nick Jackson and their two children Lily and Brody; and her daughter Sheryl and husband Jody Griffin and their son Garrett; along with many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Barbara’s life will be at 10:00am, Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Baggerley Funeral Home (Edmond).

I was her neighbor growing up and she always made us special goodies. I loved coming back and visiting in her parlor and my girls loved baking her special treats with Nonnie. Wonderful, sweet lady who will be deeply missed.

My Mom, my Hero. I am so very thankful for the gift of my Mom! She believed in me always... Supported me always. If I ever questioned, or lost faith in myself, I could go to her and her unfailing love could make it better. Her love and her faith have made me a better person, a better Mom. I can never say goodbye... so, til we meet again Mom... I Love You... I will Love You Forever!

I’m so sorry for your loss. May you find comfort in God’s promise of a resurrection where we will be reunited with our loved ones who have passed away and will never be separated by death again - John 5:28, 29; Revelation 21:3,4

Your mom was a very kind lady who always has a “hi” and a smile for Paul and me. We go all the way back to Edmond foods and when you kids were little. Thinking of you at this time. Sorry for your loss. Paul and Loui

I worked side by side with Barbara in the mini - lobby at Kirkpatrick Bank for 11 years. It was just the two of us, and we became good friends. She was very well liked by many customers, they would ask how she was, long after she retired. I will always remember her as a very strong and giving person. We both told each other stories about our grandkids, and she would just light up talking about her family. We didn't see much of each other after she retired, but when she did come by the bank, she said she was so happy. I will miss you Barbara as will many. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.

We have so many memories of Dallas and Barb with my parents Arland and Fran Perkins. They were together all the time and one time during Halloween all four of them dressed up and came to my sisters house where we were all at and tried to trick or treat. They kept coming back to the house and we thought we were going to have to call the police because they barged into the house. Then they took off their masks. All four of them enjoyed life together! God bless you Barbara, you are loved and missed!
