Beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother.

Lovingly referred to as Grandma Bee, Granny and Momma, Beoma Faye “Bee” Bowker-Price, 78, of Edmond, Oklahoma, passed away Thursday, July 4, 2019. Bee was born on October 14, 1940 in Dove Creek, Colorado. At a young age she moved to Vernon, Texas where she resided until 1965 when she moved to Edmond, Ok, residing there until she left to be with our Lord Jesus. Bee was a very active member at Heritage Baptist Church. Her church was a second family for her. Bee loved to read. A relaxing day for her was spent quietly on her couch with a good book, her favorite TV shows and her dog Tonto.

Bee worked at the City of Oklahoma City Municipal Court as file clerk for 13 years and until her hospitalization. Prior to her work with the city, Bee was the manager of Red Carpet Motel in Edmond for almost 30 years starting in 1975. She developed many friends at both places.

Bee was preceded in death by her husband, Kenny Price; parents, O.D. and Lillie “Kay” Miller; and brothers: Glen Murphree, Donald Murphee and Frank Murphree. Bee is survived by children: Donna Herndon and husband Todd, Corky Bowker and wife Emily, and Tony Bowker; stepson, Gary Bowker and wife Bernadette; grandchildren: Krissy Garrett and husband Chris, Kami Rodebush, Clint Bowker, Kasi McIntosh and husband Dan, Chase Bowker and wife Michelle; grandchildren: Olivia, Preston, Parker and Evelyn; great-grandchildren: Chandler Garrett and girlfriend Liberty, Bailey Garrett; Kinna Rodebush and Chance Rodebush and their dad Matt; brother, Jerry Murphree and wife Arnell; many nieces and nephews; and an enormous number of friends.

Beoma was a faithful and proud follower of Jesus Christ. She was known to most who knew her as the strongest person they knew. Bee loved her family fiercely. She always put the needs and desires of others far beyond her own.

Bee will be missed greatly. She will always live on in those who knew and loved her.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Heritage Baptist Church.

I wore my glasses on a cord yesterday so that every time I took them off I stopped and thot about a good time I had with her. She always had your back. Sad smiles all day. 😇

I am a marketplace chaplain for Donna, Bee’s daughter at Covenant where Donna works. I had the honor of praying with Bee and speaking with her at the Oklahoma Heart Hospital just a day before her passing. She had and I imagine has had a marvelous attitude about life and seemed to have no fear of death. I know the Lord is pleased to receive her to her heavenly home. My thoughts and prayers are with her family now! Sending blessings and love!

Miss Bee and I became friends the first day we met at work and it didn’t take long before I realized she would be the best friend I ever had. A more giving, caring person you could never find.
I know Bee is in heaven, new in the Lord. She was ready to see her Lord and family and friends waiting for her.
I cry but it’s for me not Bee. After all, she’s where we all hope to be one day!

Bee was a friend from our church we usually sat on the same row at church and also worked in the kitchen together. She was a fantastic lady and cook . My husband Gregg Knox always loved her cooking especially her Pineapple Upside Down Cake . she fixed him one when he was sick . He had Pancreatic Cancer . They ‘ re up in heaven together he is one who would be there to greet her when she got there along with several others who went before her. We all loved Bee and will miss her but we know where she is now and worshipping Jesus . Sorry I will most likely not be at the funeral since I will have to be at work that is why I wanted to remember the good times together now and express how much I loved Bee and will miss her.

Beoma was the kindest, sweetest lady. I remember how fondly my mother and daddy spoke of her and how much they loved her. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time.
