Born on February 18, 1941, to loving parents JT McIntyre and Ollie McIntyre, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, she carried the heart of her home state with her throughout her life. She spent her years in the communities of Tulsa and Tahlequah, where she made lasting friendships and touched many lives with her kindness and grace.
A woman of deep faith, she was a devoted member of Shields Baptist Church, where she found great joy in worship and fellowship. Her love for Southern Gospel and country music filled her home with warmth, and her favorite color, red, reflected her vibrant spirit. To her, a perfect day meant sunshine on her face and laughter in the air.
She will be remembered as someone who loved deeply and cared endlessly, especially for her family, who meant the world to her. Her greatest joy was spending time with her loved ones, and no one could brighten her day quite like her son-in-law, who never failed to make her laugh.
She is preceded in death by her parents JT and Ollie, her daughters Cathy Schiehe Smith and Rose Aaron, and her brother Leon McIntyre. She is survived by her son Lonnie Aaron, her daughters Linda Renfro and her husband Tommy, and Jeanette Aaron, her sisters Barbaro Hogan, Faye Cummings, and Nancy McIntyre, along with her 17 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
To know her was to know love — gentle, strong, and unconditional. That is how she wanted to be remembered, and that is exactly how she will be. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, family, and love that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
A graveside service for Carolyn will be held Friday, September 19, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Arlington Memory Gardens, 3400 N Midwest Blvd, Oklahoma City, OK 73141.
