Charlene P. Green

She passed away on December 9, 2018, after a lengthy and courageous battle with Parkinson’s.

She attended Lanier and Sequoia Elementary schools, Wilson Junior High, and graduated from Will Rogers High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1947. Charlene married her high school sweetheart Robert “Bob” Neal Green on December 30, 1946. To this marriage two boys were born, Robert Neal Green, Jr. and Michael Kaye Green. The family lived in Tulsa, Oklahoma until 1956 when they moved to Oklahoma City where Charlene and Bob have lived since.

Charlene was a member of Britton Road Baptist Church for nearly 60 years. She was a full-time homemaker and for a few years also worked as a secretary for her husband. She enjoyed her dogs and the flowers in her yard. She was involved as a den mother for cub scouts and regularly played Bridge with a group of friends. She was always ready and willing to help anyone.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother Gene Merle Campbell; sister Anne Beth Jones; and granddaughter Victoria Kaye Green. Charlene is survived by her husband of seventy-two years Bob Green; son Neal Green and wife Yvonne and son Mike Green; grandson Robert Neal Green, III and wife Laura and their daughters, Jayd’n, Hayley, and Cheyenne, grandson Lee Trevor Green and wife Brandi Bajer; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Friends and family are invited to a visitation on Thursday, December 13, 2018 from 4p-8p at Baggerley Funeral Home (930 S Broadway, Edmond). Funeral services will be held at 10am, Friday, December 14, 2018 at Britton Road Baptist Church (1141 West Britton Road, OKC) with interment to follow at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery, OKC.
