

Cledyth Marie Singleton, 79, longtime resident of Edmond, went to be with Lord April 7, 2011. She was born March 14, 1932 in Stillwater, Oklahoma to Oscar Devere and Francis (Traver) Ingle. She lived in Coyle, Oklahoma and grew up in Coyle Christian Church and graduated high school there. After high school she attended Central State Teachers College in Edmond and graduated in 1955 with a Bachelor Degree in home economics and a minor in psychology and has been in the alumni association since. Cledyth married Murland Lorentz Singleton on March 4, 1962 at the First Christian Church and lived in Edmond, Ok until after their first child was born in 1963. There after she lived in Guthrie, Oklahoma, Madison, Wisconsin and moved to Oklahoma City in 1968. She moved back to Edmond in 1987 where she resided until her death at Grace Living Center in Edmond Oklahoma. Cledyth was a seamstress by trade and a member of the Edmond Historical Society as well as a member of the Oklahoma Genealogy Society. She attended the Edmond Christian Church on Danforth and Coltrane and was active there until her physical health would not allow her to attend.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Murland L. Singleton, one of the first sign painters in Edmond, Ok.
She is survived by her daughter, Marie Faye Burns; sons, Martin Louis Singleton, Lawrance Devere Singleton , Scott Thomas Singleton, and Robert Bruce Singleton; 16 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; sister, Juanita Wood; brother, Obert Ingle; and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Viewing will be 9am-8pm on Saturday, April 9 and from 12pm-8pm on Sunday, April 10 at Baggerley Funeral Home.
Services for Cledyth will be 2:00 pm, Monday, April 11, 2011 at Edmond Christian Church with interment following at Gracelawn Cemetery.
