Dallas Dale Graham, Jr., 52, of Edmond, Oklahoma, died peacefully at his home October 30, 2012. Because of his great love for his family (as a husband, father, grandfather, son and brother), he found the strength and courage to fight a long and fierce battle with cancer. The son of Dallas Dale Graham and Phyllis (Duncan) Lindley, he was born in Miami, Oklahoma on May 4, 1960. He attended Edmond schools and graduated from Edmond High School in 1978. Dale re-united with his high-school sweetheart, Kelly Marie Murray, and they were married in February 1987. Through their 25 years together, they raised two wonderful children and have been blessed with two beautiful grandchildren. Dallas served in the Army for 22 years in a variety of posts around the world. He was proud of his service to the citizens of our country.Golf was a life-long passion for Graham, who started golfing with his father as a young child. He was mostly self-taught and at his peak he was a near scratch golfer. He loved the game of golf and the companionship of his golfing buddies. After retiring, he worked at Ball Golf where he made numerous friends. He had time for every golfer - no matter their skill level. Graham also was an avid hunter and spent every deer season with his hunting friends at Lake Eufaula. They hunted on the same deer lease for decades and he found great joy in the solitude of the land. One of his greatest desires during the final months of his life was to go hunting one final season. His strong spirit is shown by the fact that he achieved his goal. He returned from that final trip the day before his death. He also spent much time at his family cabin at Lake Eufaula. He enjoyed fishing and boating but he found the most rewarding for him was towing kids on water toys behind his boat. His patience and encouragement was always in evidence. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Aaron Griggs; daughter, Ashley Griggs and her fiancé Josh Worley; grandchildren, Dillon Griggs and Ava Grace Worley; mother, Phyllis Lindley; sister and brother-in-law, Kathleen and Mark Kennedy; and sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Hank Schaller. Preceding him in death was his father, Dallas Dale Graham. He is further survived by a large and loving circle of other relatives and many friends. His family wants to thank their many friends for the love and kindness given to them during this time of sorrow and during the course of the past several years. Friends and family are indeed the most meaningful gifts of life. Memorial services will be held on Monday, November 5, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at Baggerley Funeral Home, 930 S. Broadway, Edmond, Oklahoma.
