Doy Dwight Malone, 84, of The Village, Oklahoma, was born June 17, 1937 in Enterprise, Oklahoma to parents Lee and Gladys Malone. He passed from this life on September 9, 2021 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Doy married Dee Malone on June 6, 1959.
Doy had a long career of operating heavy equipment, both in the open pit mines of Tucson, Arizona and building roads throughout Oklahoma City, Mustang, Edmond, and Midwest City. He was highly respected for the quality of his work.
Doy enjoyed fishing, yard work, and working on old cars. He also enjoyed motorcycle riding and was a member of the Goldwing Gold Riders Association. He was a creature of habit; from his 10:30am Braum’s hamburgers to being the first one at church for early morning service. He was always early. He taught his kids that if they were on time, they were late.
Doy was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dee; and brothers, Rex Malone and Furman Malone. He is survived by his sons, David Malone and wife Libby and Darrin Malone; grandchildren: Amanda Gagani, Dakota Malone, and Jake Malone; great-grandchildren, Jacob Collins and Grace Gagani; brother, Bill Malone; and many other family members and friends.
