Eugene G. Zimmerman

Eugene Glen Zimmerman was born in a sod house south of Park, Kansas to Michael and Barbara Bitz Zimmerman on April 26, 1911. He left this place on June 26, 2013 to join His Heavenly Father, his parents, his siblings, and numerous other relatives. He was employed by Boeing Aircraft Co. during World War II as a toolmaker. After the war, he was employed as a Div. Manager in the automotive department for Sears until he retired in 1975. He was married to June Newton 1938-1975, Charlotte Domer 1977-1979, and Doris Dishman 1980-2002. Eugene is survived by several stepchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins, all of which have been very supportive in Gene’s later years. The family would also like to thank the nurses and staff at Linwood Village (Cushing) , Sterling House (on Danforth in Edmond)and Sooner Hospice for the excellent care they provided. In lieu of flowers, please help support the previously listed facilities. The family would also like to thank St. John’s for their visitations, support and prayers. Funeral service will be held 11:00 on July 12,2013 at St John’s Catholic Church in Edmond.
