Evelyn, Jennifer and I flew to New York together. She was so fun and always brought the laughter. She was the goofy one who knew how to lighten the mood. It was always a good time hanging out with Evelyn. Rest in peace, angel.

My big sister was an amazingly intelligent, perceptive, free spirited person with a heart of gold. She lived life on her own terms, I admired her for that. She was taken from us too soon and she will be greatly missed. Rest in peace big sis, love you. We will see each other again one day.

Evelyn was a great mom! She was always doing something with me like crafts, painting and so much more! She always cooked with me and making my favorite foods. She was an awesome mom! I love her so much!

I met Evelyn when I was 13 and she was 12. Our friendship moved to sisterhood in an instant. We spent everyday together for years. We got our first job together. We were inseparable for decades. I lost a sister that I thought I would see again. My heart is broken and I hope days will get better not only for myself but for the Fernandez family.

Evelyn, you will always be a little sister to me. I love you and miss you. We went on so many adventures, even if it was just a picnic in the park, it was always an exciting trip. You are an incredible, brilliant flame. Your energy, lust for life and freedom, orange radiance, will be greatly missed by everyone who had the joy to spend time with you.
