Fay Parsley

Elizabeth Fay Agee Parsley began her journey in Nashville, TN, on November 6, 1940, as a preemie, and made her way via train to Estes Park, CO, still as a newborn in her mother’s arms. Her father was there waiting. During her first dozen years at the foot of Long’s Peak, Fay developed a lifelong passion for the Rocky Mountains. The mountains gave her security and beauty, and were the compass she carried through her whole life.

Her next dozen years included moving down Big Thompson Canyon to Loveland High School, where she graduated in 1958, and then on to Phillips University in Enid, OK, where she graduated in 1962, having met Coy Dee Parsley. Fay’s brother, Jerry Agee, married the two on August 7,1962.

She acquired her values from her parents, Osmond and Grace Agee, and from her brother Jerry.

During her journey Fay embraced several roles, most of all being the mother of Teresa Lynette and Donna Sue. Other roles she embraced were: pastor’s wife, kindergarten teacher, crossing guard, choir director, secretary, and funeral home receptionist. She was a gifted soloist and a talented artist, embracing several genres of painting over the course of her life, along with countless other creative endeavors. Young children and bright colors were only two of the things that would bring out her award-winning smile.

Her legacy continues through those she leaves behind: her husband, Coy Dee Parsley; her daughters, Teresa Edwards and Donna Woods; her grandchildren Noah (Camille) Mullens, Maddie (Grayson) Stevens, and Indigo (Logan) Roper-Edwards; and her brother, Jerry Agee (Judy O’Brien), and his family. Fay’s influence will continue among extended family and friends.

Fay departed her earthly life on August 10, 2026 with her devoted husband and caregiver, Coy, by her side. She is greatly missed but her presence is still with us in memories. Her ashes will return to her beloved Rocky Mountain National Park on October 10th.

The family is indebted to three caregivers over the past five years: Gwen Johnson, Vonetta McKiver, and Vicki Gaines.

The family will hold a Memorial Life Celebration at the First Christian Church Edmond, 201 E. 2nd Street, Edmond, OK 73034, on August 22, 2026, at 2:00 pm. It's hot. Dress comfortably. Some of us will be dressed in casual clothing.
