February 10th, 1947 – July 19th, 2025

After seven long years apart, our sweet Mama is finally home, reunited with the love of her life, our dad, Jimmy Sooter.

Mom and Dad were truly the love of each other’s lives. They did everything together unless dad wanted to go roping. His friends would ask mom if Jimmy could go, and she’d always say, “Let me think about it… no, he can’t go!” Of course, after some sweet talk and coaxing, she’d always let him go. They were best friends, partners, and teammates in every way.

They loved their daughters and are survived by Melinda Weedn and her spouse Joe Weedn, Daylene Bachman and her spouse Jared Bachman, and their grandkids Lacey Lonkerd, Hayley Weedn, Joel Weedn, Joshua Bachman, Jacob Bachman, 5 great grandchildren, and 1 sibling Cassie Penner, and they shared the same love for all of them. They would do anything for them, be anywhere they needed, any time they needed them.

We’re sure there’s a big reunion going on right now with our mom and dad, back together again, surrounded by loved ones and old friends, sharing coffee, stories, laughter, and love.

We miss them both more than words can say. But we’re so grateful they’re together again — and we hold tight to the promise that we will see them again one day.

A public visitation for Glenda will be held Thursday, July 24, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Baggerley Funeral Home, 930 South Broadway, Edmond, OK 73034. A funeral service will occur Friday, July 25, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Baggerley Funeral Home.
