Janice Sloan, of Guthrie, Oklahoma, was born on March 5, 1951, in Lubbock, Texas, to Hoyt Eugene Altman and Bonnie Faye Johnson. She graduated from Western Heights High School and went on to build a remarkable career through dedication, determination, and faith. Janice worked her way up to senior management, breaking barriers, leading teams, setting records, and inspiring others to reach their full potential.
Janice was a devoted follower of Christ whose greatest joy came from worship and country music. She loved spending time with her family, reading her Bible, and cherishing quiet moments with the Lord. Her favorite color was yellow, a fitting reflection of her bright and joyful spirit.
Her perfect day would have included a table full of her favorite foods, laughter shared over board games, shopping trips, and plenty of Mexican food surrounded by family fun.
Janice’s life was a living testimony of faith. Through every season easy, hard, good, or bad she taught those around her to “always find your strength in Jesus.” She will be remembered as a kind, selfless, and loving vessel of the Holy Spirit who was always ready to serve the Lord and help others.
She was a faithful member of Lakeside Assembly of God, later attending Cathedral of the Hills, and in her later years was an active part of a strong life group at Life.Church in Edmond, Oklahoma.
Janice will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were blessed to know her.
Janice is preceded in death by her parents, brother Dale Altman and sister Vicky Culp.
