August 12, 1935March 3, 2019

Jeanette Lillian (Stille) Carter, age 83, of Edmond, Oklahoma, passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2019 at Integris Hospital, Edmond, Oklahoma.

Jeanette Lillian Stille was born August 12, 1935 in Storm Lake, Iowa, the daughter of William Louis and Lillie Sophia (Offerle) Stille.

On May 10, 1959, Jeanette was united in marriage to Donald Edgar Carter in Schaller, Iowa. They were blessed with three children, Larry, Richard, and Barbara.

She retired from Mutual of Omaha after more than 20 years of service. Her favorite pastimes included traveling around the country camping in their RV (several different ones through the years), and meeting family and friends along the way. Another favorite activity was going for a walk, whether at home or camping. She was also an avid Nebraska Cornhusker football fan and really enjoyed cheering them on, usually quite enthusiastically. She loved her family and will be greatly missed in return.

Those left to cherish Jeanette’s memory include her husband of 59 years, Donald Carter of Edmond, Oklahoma; her children: Larry (Dana) Carter of Edmond, Oklahoma, Richard (Ronda) Carter of Omaha, Nebraska, and Barbara Reffey of Omaha, Nebraska; her grandchildren: Jennifer (Garrett) Molinsky of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Erin Carter of Edmond, Oklahoma; sister Dorothy (Mel) Ploeger of Ida Grove, Iowa; sisters-in-law: Arletta Stille (surviving spouse of Kenneth) of Sac City, Iowa, Mary E.
