JeNeil Kathy (Buck) Torres, 59, of Edmond, Oklahoma entered Heaven on January 28, 2025 after being diagnosed with multiple myeloma 12 years ago. JeNeil was born on December 1, 1965 in Valley City, North Dakota to Marvin and Leta Buck. She was the youngest of 6 children but was “the boss” because of her take charge attitude and no-nonsense excuses. She was Senior Vice President at Municipal Employees Credit Union for 27 years where she trained and mentored many employees during this time. She loved her job even though it could be stressful especially during conversions, compliant regulations, opening new branches and board meetings. But she always got the job done regardless of the long hours she worked.
JeNeil loved the Lord with all her heart and was a testimony of his love and faithfulness to all who knew her. In 2022 she fulfilled a bucket list wish by going to Israel and was baptized in the Jordan River. She attended bible studies and a book club at Beautiful Restoration, a non-profit that restores lives through relationship with God and each other. She enjoyed gardening, reading, and jigsaw puzzles.
JeNeil was preceded in death by her parents and two older siblings, Randall Craig Buck and Kathryn Diane Buck. She is survived by Forrest, her loving husband of 37 years, sisters, Dawn (Calvin) Bateman and Kristi (Roger) Wulff, and brothers, Kerri (Tammie) Buck and Ryan (Becky) Buck, and honorary sister of 43 years Tami Hoskins and several nieces and nephews. She leaves behind her much-loved in-laws, Jo and Hoyte Evans and her honorary parents, John (late) and Suzanne Crase.
JeNeil’s family would like to thank Good Shepherd Hospice for the great care and compassion each nurse provided and all the friends and co-workers that texted, e-mailed, called, and visited during this time.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Baggerley Funeral Home located at 930 S. Broadway in Edmond, Oklahoma.
