

Joan Blalock was born in Dorchester, Virginia to William and Ethel Pannell on April 9, 1932. She married Grover Alfred "Al" Blalock on April 10, 1954 in England. Joan worked for many years as a Supervisor of Inventory control at IngramMicro in California. She served as a S/SGT in the Air Force from July 1950 - October 1953.
Joan was preceded in death by her parents William and Ethel Pannell;, her husband Al; son Gregory Alan; her twin brother Gerald; brothers, Ralph, Carl and, Bill Pannell; and sisters Helen Day and Lena Isom; and her son in law Doug Nolan.
Joan is survived by her daughters Rene Blalock and Kathy Nolan; sons Mike and Ken Pannell; brother John Pannell (La Vonne); sister Patricia Blackburn (Bill); grandchildren Jeff Stoy, Rebecca Blalock, Michelle Hirschy (Jason), Kyle Chew, Megan Spitler (Jason), Kerri Walker (Matt), Michelle Hunnicutt; great-grandchildren, Jessica Blalock, Lizabeth and Jason Hammond, Alexis, Laura, Scotty, Terrance Hirschy, Hailey, Tessie, and Brandy Hausam, Tori Walker, and Sophie and Henry Hunnicutt; along with many nieces, nephews and a large extended family.
We want to offer a very special and loving thank you to the Oberender and Booth family for loving Mom as you did along with the rest of us.
We also want to send a very special thank you to the Daily Living Center in Edmond for caring for her and to everyone at Frontier Hospice for everything they did for Mom and for helping us through the process; especially Tarek (her nurse) and Martin Gossett.
