Norma June Shelden Seavey (89) passed away on January 6, 2021, just shy of her 90th birthday.

June was born on February 10, 1931. She was raised in Oklahoma City, the only child of Wade and Janilou (Norman) Mitchell.

June graduated from Northeast Highschool in 1949. She then married Earnest Carl Shelden and to this union was born her only child, Michael Carl Sheldon, in 1951.

June attended Hills Business University and Central State University-Liberal Arts Program. June was working at Fidelity Bank in Oklahoma City as a secretary when she met and married the “Love of her Life” John William Seavey on June 1, 1961.

June continued her education in Real Estate and Property Management to which she had a long and prosperous career.

The last 20 years of her life, John and June returned to Oklahoma where they enjoyed the home they custom designed and built together. June decorated it beautifully improving their country acreage.

June was an avid reader and had a large collection of biographies, magazines and gardening books, cookbooks and diet books, but her favorite books were those authored by her son Michael Shelden. She loved showing them to friends and bragging on his accomplishments. She was very proud of her son and her two granddaughters. June also became very close to John’s daughter Mickey and husband Randy Herring. They both helped take care of her those final years. June will be missed especially her beautiful smile.

June is survived by her husband John William Seavey, her son Michael Shelden, her granddaughter Sarah Shelden Coplen and husband Collins, granddaughter Vanessa Shelden and two great-grandsons Finn and Oliver Coplen.
