Karen Bernice Oppelt of Edmond, OK passed away on Monday, October 7, 2013 at Edmond Specialty Hospital. She was born on November 28, 1971 in Oklahoma City to her parents Richard Leo and Frances Elizabeth (Trahar) Oppelt. Karen loved her family and spending time with them. She was preceded in death by her mother Frances Elizabeth (Trahar) Oppelt. Karen is survived by her daughter, Jessi Nelson of Oklahoma City, OK; son, Robert Watkins of Edmond, OK; father, Richard Oppelt and wife Rhonda of Boise, Idaho; brother, Richard Oppelt Jr. and wife Dawn of Oklahoma City, OK; sister, Melissa Oppelt of Hinton, OK; grandparents, Thomas Joseph Oppelt and Bernice Mary Oppelt; nieces and nephews, Jacob, Brandon, Bradley, Jared and Keely. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
A memorial service may be planned at a later date by her family. Cremation arrangements were made through Baggerley Funeral Home.
