She was the youngest of five children and is the last surviving family member of her immediate family. Kate passed away on July 6, 2020 in Edmond, Oklahoma.

Together, Kate and Robert shared seven children.

Katy was not only my sister-in-law, but was also a close friend in our school years. Katy also introduced me to my future husband, J.D. Briscoe; for this I was very thankful. Katy and Joe and J.D. and I went roller skating together. Katy was a dear and compassionate friend. She was my babysitter for a time, and Allen was always excited to go there. Even though she lived a long distance away from us, we still loved her and missed her. She was a very caring and loving lady, and will be missed greatly.

My deepest sympathy of the passing of my Aunt Katie. I am so sad that her family could not have been with her these last few months. Remembering all the peanut butter cookies she made. And of course all the love she had for her children. Please accept my heartfelt prayers for you and your family. May the Lord keep you and wrap you in his loving arms.
