Lauren Rachelle Stewart, age 25, of Edmond, OK, tragically passed away on August 9, 2026. She was born June 3, 2001, in Oklahoma City, OK, to Eric and Mindy Stewart. Lauren graduated from Edmond North High School in 2019. She then graduated from The Academy of Hair Design in OKC in December 2023. She worked for Valor Hair Salon and The Lair Lash & Hair, where she loved to make women beautiful. She was also a server at Chicken N Pickle in OKC for the past 3 years.
Lauren loved her family and friends “so bad”. Lauren was loyal and protective of anyone she loved. She had an avid social life– hanging out with her co-workers and friends. Lauren lived life to the fullest. She loved her dad's tacos and deep conversations with him; camping, fishing, and playing Guitar Hero with her brother; getting her nails done by her sister and, in return, doing her sister's hair; and she loved going to the beach and shopping with her mom. She enjoyed snacks, all kinds of music, girly things like perfume, lashes, jewelry, sunglasses, and she could rock any outfit she put on.
She is survived by her parents, Eric and Mindy Stewart; brother, Jacob of Salida, CO, and sister, Cora Stewart; as well as her cats, Chief and Keef. Her grandparents, Jack and Liz Eriksson and Johnnie and Connie Stewart. Along with her aunts, uncles, and cousins:
Mickey and Tim Haddican, Allie Haddican and Mitch Layne, Chase Haddican, Missey and Mark Cox, Austin Cox, Emily Cox, Marcey and John Fox, Hannah, Kolbe and Noah Klement, Carter Fox, Mandy and Greg Horneber, Ellie Horneber, Abbie Horneber, John Eriksson, Emily Eriksson, Kaitlyn Eriksson, and Hayden Eriksson. Shannon and Amy Stewart, Ethan Stewart, Evan Stewart, and Erin Stewart.
A memorial service will be held on August 15, 2026, at 11 am at Acts 2 UMC, 4848 W Covell Rd., Edmond, OK. Lunch will be served after the service in the gym. Her family is grateful for the kindness and support shown during this time.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks for donations toward creating memorial diamonds from her ashes, a lasting symbol of their love and the bond they shared.
