Lavetta worked as a Yellow Cab Driver and dispatcher. She knew every street in Oklahoma City.
Lavetta truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures, chatting with friends and family and making jokes. Additionally, she LOVED playing Bingo, sometimes multiple cards at once.
Lavetta was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie and Ida May Bowden; siblings: Elmer Bowden and wife Bernice, Joe Bowden, Wesley Bowden, and LaFaye Sholly; and son-in-law, Donald Brazell, Sr.
She is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Brazell and Rita Rickner and husband Tom; son, Randy Bowen and wife Neva; many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
Family, friends and others whose lives Lavetta touched are invited to Baggerley Funeral Home in Edmond for visitation on October 26, 2021 from 4pm to 8pm.
Funeral services will be October 27, 2021 at 2:00pm at Baggerley Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Oklahoma City.
