Leo was born October 20, 1957, in Konawa, Oklahoma. A graduate of Edmond Memorial High School, Leo began his professional journey in the oil fields. He devoted 30 years to that industry before transitioning to a new role at Schwarz Ready Mix, where he worked as a truck driver for 17 years.
Leo is preceded in death by his parents, Billy and Leta Sutton and father, Roy Birdwell.
Leo is survived by daughters, Shannon Brown and Julie Jones, three grandchildren, Cicely Holman, Vance Brown, and Evan Jones, siblings, Thomas Edward Sutton and wife Diana, Mary Cook and husband Randy, Richie Birdwell and wife Teresa, Stephen Birdwell and wife Donna, Sharlene Carter, and Gayle “Jeannie” Sutton, niece, Kandice Sutton and nephew, Joseph Sutton.
Graveside services for Leo will he held Friday, September 12, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Gracelawn Cemetery, 1407 North Blvd., Edmond, OK 73034.
