

Loretta attended high school through the 12th grade. Throughout her life, she made her home in several places, including Texas, Arkansas, Wyoming, Colorado, Kansas and Oklahoma, before settling in Edmond. She moved several times during her early years in Oklahoma before making Edmond her home.
Loretta married the love of her life, L.C. Russell on August 18, 1957 and was married for thirty-six years before L.C.’s passing on November 16, 1993.
Loretta was a hardworking woman who took great pride in her work. She worked in the Edmond Public Schools and later worked alongside her husband at Grace Petroleum.
Family was at the heart of Loretta’s life. Her perfect day was simply one spent being with the people she loved most. She cherished time with her family and will be remembered for the love and devotion she gave to those around her.
Loretta enjoyed country music and had a special fondness for the color blue. She was raised Baptist before later becoming a member of the Methodist church.
Loretta will be remembered for her love of family, her hardworking spirit, and the many memories she created throughout her life. Her greatest joy was being surrounded by those she loved, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
Loretta is preceded in death by her husband L.C., brothers Gary Moore and Harvey Moore.
She is survived by her sons Mike Russell and his wife Wynema and Ken Russell and his wife Linda, sister LaWanda Rose and her husband Ollie, and sister-in-laws Linda Moore and Marlo Moore, four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, three nieces, and three nephews.
Visitation will be held at Baggerley Funeral Home, 930 South Broadway, Edmond, OK 73034, US, on August 21, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Baggerley Funeral Home, 930 South Broadway, Edmond, OK 73034, US, on August 22, 2026, at 10:00 am.
