An amazing father to his family, Luke was a pilot for most of his life, logging over 12,000 hours of flight; 20 years in the Air Force and 15 years with the FAA. He enjoyed traveling, watching westerns and being with his family.
Preceded by his wife, Jo (Eleanor), of 62 years, he is survived by his son, Terry (Diane) of Wichita, KS and his daughter, Karen Berry (Paul) of Mustang, OK; grandchildren Kris McNamee (Tom) of Salt Lake City, UT, Derik (Heather) of Waco, TX and Jeremy (Ashley) of Valley Center, KS, and many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He made many special friends throughout his career and in his everyday life.
Thanks to an outstanding team of caregivers including Intergris Hospice, the Rivermont Trails staff and LifeSpring, Luke enjoyed the last years and added many new friends to an already long list. We will miss him, his compassion, his spirit and his sense of humor.
The family is having a family graveside service at 10 am at Gracelawn in Edmond on Friday, Aug 21, 2020, with a special lunch after at Around the Corner Restaurant, one of Luke’s favorites.
