I just learned of Lynn's sudden passing.  I lost track of Lynn when we moved from the state.  Lynn was the neighbor you'd love to have.  Caring, compassionate, humorous.  His passing leaves a huge void with his family and with the community.  God Bless him!

Lynn, was someone that I went to church with at South Lindsay Baptist Church.  We were in the Youth Group together.  He could always make you laugh.  His family were always special people in my life.  I know God has a special place for him in Heaven.  Michelle Caudill Hawkins

Dear Lindsay family,

I am really sorry to hear the events of last week. My deepest thoughst and prayers are with you. I got to know Lynn last year during his work assignments in Calgary. I was lucky enough to have diner at my place in Canmore one evening. Even though I only worked with Lynn for a short while he has a lasting affect on people.

I will miss Lynn a great deal. He was nothing but an honest and good man. My condolences for your loss.

Sandy and family, our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.  I'm not sure that you will remember us as well as we remember you, but you were our neighbors for too short a time when you lived in SW Ok City.  We always thought you were a very neat younger couple and really hated to see you move.  Even though we've lost contact throughout the years, we still remember your precious family. Dear Lyndsay family: My condolences for your great loss. I worked with Lynn at BP and will always remember his great smile and willingness to help out. We will miss him and remember him.

I am so sorry for your loss. I can't believe that Lynn is with Jesus right now and is happier than he has ever been. I have been praying for you and your family all weekend and I know that the loss for you is devistating.

It seems so unfair that God has shared Lynn with us for only a short while, but Lynn would never want us any of us to be unhappy.

Lawn freak....Lynn was such a happy spirit & wonderful neighbor.  His lawn was alway cut on the angle.  If the neighbor's tree was dying, Lynn got it to grow in his yard.  The neighbor would would look on in amazement.

Quite a character...Hot blistery days didn't stop Lynn, he'd be out buying new golf equipment faster than Sandy & I could make sitting at their garage sale to pay for it.

All dressed up & no place to go..Lynn had no problem dressing up for the neighborhood block parties, where some husbands would rather not attend.  

Nothing couldn't be fixed....
When I reported that little 3yr old Aston kept opening my shower door, Lynn reponded with "Next time I'll send her with a camera!" 

We're all his children....
He loved not only his children, but all our children.  Each Sunday evening I would lose my long driveway to his youth group for parking.  There was always a packed house.

I missed the Lindsay's when they moved, and still miss them; as do others that have come in contact with this special family.

May each of you hold forever in your heart what you once held in your arms.

Sandy, Ashton, Austin, and Jeff,

Lynn worked on our project with us  for most of this year. He was a tremendous man, and he will remain our friend for life. He influenced us in many ways, and his energetic, sincere, honest, determined spirit is stamped on all his relationships with us. He was deeply respected, and he was a critical member of my team. It will be nearly impossible to find someone who can do the amazing work he did for us. It will be definitely impossible for anyone to take his place as the friend he had become to all of us.

He spoke lovingly about all of you daily. I've never known a father or husband as outspoken with pride as he. Our deepest sympathies to all of you....please let us, his friends and colleagues, know if we can be helpful to any of you during this difficult time and even afterward. There isn't anything we wouldn't do for Lynn or his family.

Lynn, you was given my middle name by your mother and I gave my son Michael your middle name in honor.  I have always loved you and have felt so grateful that we were able to reconnect after all these years.  You never once ignored me or looked at me with disappointment in your eyes as we were growing up.  I loved the day that we spent together when we skipped school and went swimming in your backyard.  I stood in amazement of you while visiting your father at the funeral home.  You sat there with my father consoling him, asking him to give himself to God and you would be his witness.  We was there for you but as usual you was there for us.  I am so proud of the life you lead, my friend, my cousin.  Love You Kari Lynn Lindsay-Cherry

Sandy, Ashton and Austin,

Words cannot express my sorrow of your loss of your husband and father. Bro. Lynn and your family meant so much to me when the Lord had you all at Graceway Baptist. I learned a lot under his teachings. He cared for each of us individually and he was truly a pastor to us all. I am praying for you as you go through this difficult time. Our loss is Heaven's gain. I take comfort in the fact that we will see him again one day.

I loved Lynn and I will miss our times together.  His counsel and godly wisdom were invaluable to me over the years.  Though his intellect was huge, he exhibited humility.  My son and a number of other sons considered Lynn to be their 2nd father.  He will be especially missed by them.  He had a special love for kids, his own and others.  I loved the way he and Sandy would hold hands as they walked together.  After so many years of marriage, their love for one another was demonstrative and strong.  Perhaps, most of all, I appreciated his love for Christ.  I am blessed to have been his friend.
