Margaret Bernice Ely

Margaret Bernice Ely, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2025, at the age of 92. She grew up in Kingfisher, Oklahoma, and lived in Oklahoma City, and Edmond, Oklahoma in her adult years.

Margaret was a deeply faithful, devout Catholic. She loved animals, music, and good food. Above all, she loved her family. She was a kind, loving, honest, and hard-working person. She helped many people throughout her life. She took care of everyone.

Margaret is preceded in death by her parents, James and Mae Quirk. By her husband Britt Ely. By her siblings Mary and James Quirk, and by her son Matthew Ely. She is survived by her daughters Pam Ely and Diane Ely, and by her grandson Michael Trent. (Her favorite person in the world).

Her main desire in life was to make it to heaven. She has finally achieved her dream!

A visitation for Margaret will be held Thursday, June 12, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Baggerley Funeral Home, 930 South Broadway, Edmond, OK 73034. A funeral service will occur Friday, June 13, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at St Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 5024 N Grove Ave, Warr Acres, OK 73122. A committal service will occur Friday, June 13, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 4:30 PM at External Service Location, 14214 OK-33, Kingfisher, OK 73750.
