Margaret was born on April 2, 1917, in Indianapolis, IN to Herbert and Mary Ruth Ashcraft. She passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 22, 2010. Margaret married Jack Dearmin on April 12, l936. In 1959 along with their three children moved to Winter Haven, Florida. Jack, the love of her life, passed away in 1972, and Margaret later moved to Melbourne, Florida to be near her son, Bob. In 2005, after a hip fracture, she moved to Oklahoma to live with her daughter, Ruthie and husband, John Gardosik and stayed with them until her passing.
Margaret was fortunate to be in good health, mentally and physically up until her departure from this life. Her family feels her longevity is attributed to her optimistic attitude every day of her life. Margaret was an avid reader and had just finished a book her last day on this earth. She loved life and enjoyed traveling, painting, quilting, music, dancing with her two sons, watching the World Series and the Kentucky Derby every year, and going out to lunch with her daughter and friends. She prayed for others every single day and gave thanks to God for everything. She really and truly never had an unkind word to say about anyone and loved us all with a Mother’s unconditional love.
Margaret is survived by her son, Bill Dearmin and his wife Edna, son Bob Dearmin and his wife, Mary Jane. Her daughter Ruthie Gardosik and her husband John. Her grandchildren are Jack Dearmin, Stacia Dearmin-Pressman, Steve Dearmin, Camy Dearmin, Shawn Dearmin, Chris Dearmin and (CPT) Stephen Gardosik. Great-grandchildren are Madison, Isaiah, Saxton, Chandler, Jonathan and Erik.
