

Marjorie Ann Nicholas, 87, passed away on August 8, 2015. She was born on November 20, 1927 in Nowata, OK. She graduated from Central High School in Oklahoma City, living her entire life in Oklahoma. After graduating high school and attending secretarial college, she worked at the Daily Oklahoman where she met her future husband, A.J. Nicholas, whom she married in 1948.
She was a long time member of the Methodist Church in Oklahoma City, then later in Jones, OK. She was preceded in death by her husband of more than 60 years, A.J., her parents, Daryl D. Fluke and Annabelle Thompson, a brother, D.D. Fluke, and her two beloved Chihuahuas, Taco and Chili. She is survived by one son, Daryl Nicholas of Ninnekah, OK, two daughters, Cheryl Ottman of Oklahoma City (husband Jim), and Susan Nicholas of Sarasota, FLA; three granddaughters, Amber Sleeper (husband Steven) of Jones, OK, Amy Fritts (husband David) of Oklahoma City, and Justy Nicholas of Norman. Also, three great grandsons, Jacob Sleeper, Lane Sleeper, and Eli Fritts, and many relatives and friends. She lived for and loved all of her family deeply and will be sorely missed by everyone whose lives she touched. Mom was truly a special lady; a sweet and loving wife, mother, grandma, and great grandma. Donations may be made in her memory to the Humane Society of Oklahoma or the Paralyzed Veterans of America, her two favorite charities.
