

Michael Alan McDonald passed from this earth unexpectedly on March 7th, 2011 at the age of 43. Born on January 27, 1968, in Birmingham, Alabama, Michael was a prolific writer and poet as an expression of his study of the human spirit. His love of photography expressed the same wonderfully creative ability of seeing and capturing the beauty of nature in his photos, as he did with capturing wisdom in his poetry. He envisioned changing the world through his writing. He was a generous person who believed in the best in people and believed in helping others without expectations of gain.
Michael's journey on this earth took him in many different paths. He served his country proudly in the United States Navy. He was an ordained minister. He had served as member of the California Bay Area American Red Cross Disaster Action Team, teaching CPR, Disaster Preparedness and First Aid both as a profession and as a volunteer. He was a commercial and business real estate salesperson and a property manager. Michael was employed as Billing Manager at West Business Services in Oklahoma City at the time of his death. However, his proudest accomplishment was fatherhood. He leaves behind his three cherished children, Pvt. 1st class Tyskanay(Chance) Sheffield, Michael McDonald II and his stepdaughter, Genesis Webb.
Michael was proceeded in death by his father, Dwight Allen McDonald Jr. of Bessemer, Alabama. He is survived by his wife, Tracy McDonald of Arizona, and his mother, Janet Stoecker and stepfather, Jim Stoecker.
