She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Lloyd Maxwell and Curtis Carder; three brothers; and two sisters.

She is survived by her children: Frances Neely, Sharon McKinnon, Larry Maxwell, Lloyd Maxwell Jr., and Donald Maxwell; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.

I always loved to hear my family sing when we all were together at family gatherings, but I can only imagine them in their reunion as my Aunt Minnie arrived and entered those beautiful gates and they all joined in, “What a day of rejoicing that will be!” That makes me smile, just as my Aunt Minnie always made me also.

Aunt Minnie always telling me that “Boots” wouldn’t bite me. But she never ever really had me convinced of that. Boots scared me like crazy!
