

Mitchell Benjamin Easley passed away after a short illness on October 25, 2025 at the Oklahoma City Veterans’ Hospital. He was born on March 22, 1945, in McAlister, Oklahoma. His parents were the late Mitchell Benjamin Easley Sr. and Iva Jean Ellis. Mitch spent his early years in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and graduated with a BS Degree in Electrical Engineering and an MBA, both from the University of Oklahoma.
In 1968, Mitch was commissioned as an officer in the United States Army. After undergoing airborne training, he was awarded his paratrooper wings. In 1969-1970 he served with the 173rd Airborne Brigade in Vietnam and was promoted to 1st Lieutenant.
Before returning to Oklahoma in 2020, he lived in various places working in the telecommunications industry. Mitch is survived by his loving wife Joyce Phinney Moran of Edmond, OK. He is also survived by his 4 children: Mona Hogan (husband Ed) Temecula, CA, Brian Easley, Hollywood, FL, Casey Davis, Plano, TX, Julie O’Leary (husband TJ) Marble Falls, TX, Brother Steve Easley (wife Julia) Columbia, SC, and 7 grandchildren
Mitch was a genuine polymath who dedicated himself to studying the Bible, exploring history, and immersing himself in military knowledge. He thrived on intellectual challenges and was passionate about sharing his faith in God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit with everyone he encountered. Above all, he loved his family deeply.

Memorials may be made to Faith Bible Church, Edmond, OK and the American Cancer Society
A graveside service will be held at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, located at 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX, 75211, on November 5, 2025, starting at 2:00 pm.
